Crotty Avenue: Elizabeth Crotty (1885-1960)

Elizabeth Crotty was a traditional musician from County Clare, and became famous for her concertina playing. Although her family was musical, Elizabeth did not receive formal musical training. She also sang while performing on the concertina, and is still celebrated today in the All-Ireland Fleadh Ceoil with three competitions being named in her memory.
