Hazlehatch with 053 in charge of 1500 Heuston-Waterford

This is one of my favourite photographs, taken from the now-demolished Hazlehatch signal cabin. The train is the 1500 Heuston-Waterford, pulled by '001' class 053. The carriages consist of Cravens, some being repainted into toothpaste livery. The CIE orange and black livery was quite striking and lasted a number of years. The date is September 1984.
