RAIL 18 PHOTO

Taken on 2 February 1984, this picture gives a unique view of the Phoenix Park tunnel portal in Dublin, with Conyngham road above. The train is a pickup goods, hauled by an unidentified 'A' class or 001 class.

The trackwork has been rationalized and there is a new platform (platform 10) where the photographer once stood. A large apartment block now stands to the left of the train but the park has remainded unghanged, thank goodness! For a comparison photo, see the next photo.
