Luas Red Line C1 junction under construction at Amiens Street
While most trackwork had yet to be laid on the Red line extension to the Point, this picture shows that the junction on Amiens Street between Busarus and Connolly stops was completed in 2009 (I understand the actual work was done in late 2008). Not only is pointwork in place, but OHLE masts and wiring was also complete at this stage. Originally planned as a delta junction, it now appears that services on line C1 to the O2 Point Theatre will not call at Connolly, but use nearby Busarus. Picture taken 17 March 2009.
