Detail of ground work for Dublin's Line B1 at Ballogan Road, Co. Dublin

Ballyogan Road, looking south-east towards the end of the line at Bride's Glen on Dublin's Luas Line B1 extension. While the vast majority of the Green Line was installed on a pre-existing railway route (the Harcourt Street Line), the initial part of the extension from Sandyford to Carrickmines is being built on a completely new alignment. This is to serve new intensive housing and accommodation, where the original line between Stillorgan and Carrickmines passed many large houses. Additionally, the developers of this new housing paid a levy for the new line to pass their sites. 9 April 2009.
