Luas tram 3026 approaches Connolly

LUAS 42 PHOTO

Tram 3026 approaches Connolly terminus with a service from Tallaght. It is negotiating the scissors crossover just before the platforms. In the background you can see the financial services centre at Dublin's docklands. The Luas tracks at the point are on the site of the huge Connolly approach ramp which was removed, along with a large retaining wall. The date is March 2005.

Also visible are the Luas signals and speed restriction sign, given in kilometres. The 20 metre trams, currently on the Red line, are having an additional section added to make them into 30 metre units. This will make them identical to the Green line units.
