January 2004: Towards Kilmacud

View from Sandyford stop showing track signage. The building on top of the embankment is related to Stillorgan reservoir. It was somewhat fortunate that most of the Green line was built on land that did not require extensive compulsory purchase or even building demolition. This picture shows why; the Dublin development plan maintained space for the two lines. It still reserves space for future plans such as the Harold's Cross busway although recent plans under Transport 2000 do not indicate exploitation of these spaces.
