January 2004: Track machine near Dundrum station

The cutting north of the Upper Kilmacud Road has been stablised. This track machine was on its way to a site south of Dundrum. I believe the machine is called a "Fairmont" - perhaps someone would confirm this. These machines were hired for the construction phase - it was far easier to do this since Luas is built to standard continental gauge, rather than Irish gauge.
