Irish Rail diesel 003 approaches Inchicore from Islandbridge Junction

25 JUNE 1985

This is 003 hauling S522, the 18:20 Dublin North Wall to Waterford Liner. The time I photographed it was 19:28, making it quite late. The Waterford Bell liner was scheduled to pass Inchicore at 19:47 and a half, and was hot on its heels this evening! Note the MetroVick at full blast and maximum clag, making hard work of the drag to Inchicore.
