Kilmacthomas Railway Station with the annual weedsprayer in 1987

Kilmacthomas station had a passing loop, even in the days when the line was freight only. Even in 1987 the former station buildings were derelict as you can see, athhough the platform looked in reasonable order. You can also see the home semaphore signal at danger, although I think the line was worked on a "one-engine-in-steam" principle in 1987.
