July 2003: The Oval bar

The Oval bar, Middle Abbey Street. In 2003 customers were probably driven into the Oval bar, due to the sound of jackhammers! You can get a very pleasant pint at the Oval and now you may arrive in the comfort of a Luas tram. The picture shows how many preventative measures are necessary when undertaking such a project; notice the metres of safety fencing. The view looks towards the Jervis stop.
