This view is taken at the junction of the Guinness branch of the Grand Canal. It is looking down the drained branch where the Luas will run for a some hundred metres (the main line of the Grand Canal runs rightwards towards the River Liffey and canal basin). The line will cross from right to left when going towards Heuston station and town and the next stop is Fatima Mansions followed by St. James's Hospital. Completion of this bridge is set for July 2002 - this picture was taken in late December 2001.
