This is a select housing estate in Blackrock, south county Dublin, but what is that gate? It looks like a utility gate but is a clue to an old piece of railway history in these parts. The location is Maretimo Gardens, and the gate provides access to what was Lord Cloncurry's residence, now demolished. Residents in this estate each had a key to the gate which leads to a private beach. Many thanks to Rory McEvoy for this information. Click on the gate to reveal the location.
